Hey Jeremy, I would like to recommend a tv series called Tales from the Loop but I would like to do so convincingly by convincing you that you should watch it. So here I go. Tales from the Loop is not a sci fi story about creatures from an upside down dimension, space aliens taking over earth via pop people, or light and dark forces in space, it is about life in all its beautiful finite beauty. Each episode is an expertly well refined piece of art that when looked at as a whole shows how both equally sad and beautiful life is. It shows us how a rock can change out whole life, how an echo can reflex how finite our own lives our, how a perfect moment can never be forever, and we can see how delicate and afraid we are as a people through the eyes of two robots. Science fiction has always been cursed in mainstream media because it has the distinction of the sci fi element being used as the plot but not the vehicle to express an emotional or intellectual truth about anything this show is one of the few exceptions that exist out there along with both Blade Runners, Space Odyssey, and just the few more that exist. If I can't alone convince you then maybe others in the comments can.
